Who I am...
Josh of course. I grew up in central Illinois until I joined the US Navy in 2000. After 4 years of active duty I moved on to college. After 3 degree changes I finally found out that you can actually do graphic design as a job in the real world.
I started in web design and basic coding in high school, I learned html and played on free sites such as GeoCities and AngelFire. While I was in the Navy I played around some with PHP and expanded to making sites for the gaming community. I got into online gaming and was making sites for all the guilds and clans associated with my groups. After a while I went to school for business until I found out about graphic design as a major. I now have a degree in communication media and graphic design. Check out my galleries for some example of things I have designed in print, web, logos, and just general graphics.
On my free time I do a lot of biking, swimming, parkour, and practicing guitar. I was once really into martial arts but time and money makes it hard to keep up with it, but I have found daily basic exercises in my home have helped to hone both my body and my patience to help keep my mind running full speed throughout my day.
I now work at ComeToBuy, Inc. as a graphic designer and am working more into web development. I'm spending a lot of time learning the asp.net web development IDE and working with C# for the development language. I still am pretty adamant about PHP, but asp.net definitely has its place in the web development industry. Other than that I'm always honing my graphic skills, and learning the development trade through my work at CTB.
